This 6-week online course is a straightforward, beginner-friendly introduction to Lenormand — the symbol-based Card system that speaks plainly, once you know how to listen. Taught live, you'll learn all 36 Cards, how to combine them, and how to read them with confidence.
Whether you're completely new to Cartomancy or already reading Tarot and want a clearer, more direct system alongside it, you'll come away with a proper foundation, practical Spreads, and plenty of hands-on practice.

No previous experience necessary — just bring an open mind, a notebook if you like to scribble, and a Lenormand deck if you have one (guidance on decks will be shared before we start).
Ideal for complete beginners and for Tarot Readers or Diviners wanting a clearer, more direct system alongside their existing practice.
Course outline
Week 1 — Building the Basics
The history and structure of Lenormand, how the Deck "speaks," and your first 12 Cards. Introducing Card Combinations and practising 2–3 Card Spreads.
Week 2 — Combinations & Themes
The next 12 Cards, how to ask better questions, and how order and context shape meaning. Moving into 5–7 Card Spreads.
Week 3 — Deeper Stories, Bigger Spreads
The final 12 Cards, completing the Deck. Introducing the 9-Card Portrait Spread and starting to read with real narrative flow.
Week 4 — Practice, Techniques & Pro Tips
Free-choice Spread practice, timing and pattern techniques, combining Lenormand with Tarot and Oracle, and tips to keep building your confidence.
Week 5 — Grand Tableau Masterclass
Learning the structure and purpose of the Grand Tableau, key Houses and positions, and how to layer Significators, timing and themes across the full 36-Card Spread.
Week 6 — Practice Readings
Bringing it all together with live, guided practice — the chance to read for others, be on the receiving end of a Reading, and ask the questions that only come up once you're doing it for real.
By the end, you'll have a clear understanding of how Lenormand works, the confidence to start reading for yourself and others, and a toolkit of Spreads and techniques to keep building on.

Lenormand is a 36-Card system of literal, pictorial symbols — a Ship, a House, a Tree, a Clover — read in combination, almost like building a sentence. Where Tarot invites you to sit with a single Card's depth, learning to read Lenormand Cards is more about clarity: one Card, one concept, built into a fuller answer as you lay more Cards down. It's direct, practical, and — once the basics click — genuinely hard to put down.

Lenormand is best learned in combination, not Card by Card — this course builds from single-Card meanings in Week 1 through to full Spreads and the Grand Tableau by Week 5, with live practice throughout, and a dedicated practice session on Week 6.

A simple 3-Card Spread is often read as Past/Present/Future or Problem/Situation/Solution — though experienced Readers often read the 3 Cards as a single sentence. We cover this in depth in Week 1.

The Grand Tableau lays out all 36 Cards at once and is Lenormand's most advanced Spread. Week 5 of this course is a full session dedicated to it — covering layout, Houses, Significators, and advanced techniques like Chaining and Mirroring.

This is a fully online Lenormand course, taught live via Zoom, so you can join from anywhere.

Yes — you'll need your own Deck for this course. At Stars & Signs, we teach using Rana George's Lenormand Deck, and also recommend Pixie's Astounding Lenormand or Yasmeen Westwood's Lenormand of Enchantment if you'd like an alternative. Guidance on where to find these will be shared before we start.

All sessions are recorded, so you won't miss out if life gets in the way one week, although we do recommend attending as many sessions as possible to get the full learning experience.
